Planning consent for the improvements to Preston Village Hall has now been received from Scottish Borders Council (SBC). Once indicative costs have been received from the Quantity Surveyor the plan is to put the project out to tender. There has also been good progress with the renewable energy side of the project with the project approved in principle for Local Energy Scotland CARES funding. Two renewable energy suppliers have already been engaged to come up with proposals for the hall.
